I already have most of an Ork army for 40K. I will be finishing this army this year and will need to get to work on my next army. I recently came across some awesome looking Tau over at the Work in Progress forums by a poster name PolkaDot from the Bay area. He has devised a method of integrating surface mount LEDs into firewarriors as displayed below.
I was speechless the first time I saw this image, and it got my creative juices flowing. So, starting next summer, this is my new project. I plan to create a diverse, display quality Tau army focusing on visual image quality rather than winning percentage. The army will probably have a commander, a unit of crisis, two units of firewarriors in Devilfish, a stealthsuit squad, a piranha, an ionhead, a railhead, and a unit of broadsides. Basically include anything that will look cool lit up. So, no kroot or vespid. I doubt all that will fit into a tournament legal army, but it will all look good. I'm still debating color scheme, but probably something similar to the Sa'cea sect in the codex. A bluish gray, urban look.
